Higgins aims for a rout to end drought
JOHN HIGGINS would love nothing more than to end his ranking title drought.
The all- conquering Scot’s last ranking triumph came way back at the 2018 Welsh Open.
But the world No. 7 powered into the final four of this week’s English Open with a thumping 5-1 win over Jak Jones yesterday.
The 45-year-old said: “It means more winning titles nowadays, definitely.
“Hopefully I can pick up more silverware over the next couple of years.
“The last ranking title I won was in 2018 and it means a hell of a lot more.
“You took it for granted at times in your career because you’re always thinking the next win could be around the corner. But it’s quite a big corner to go around now.”
