DEREK URE insists there’s more to come from his East Stirling side after a barnstorming start to the season that has seen back-to-back wins.
Title-hopefuls Shire picked up their six points with a 1-0 win in the opener last Saturday against Civil Service Strollers and a 2-0 win over Edinburgh Uni in midweek.
Boss Ure said: “It’s been a good start for us with two wins but I know that there’s more to come from the lads with regard to performance levels.
“I’m happy with the way we’ve started but we know that it’s going to be a tough season with all the clubs strengthening their squads.
Ure faces a trip to take on Dalbeattie Star today before hosting big-spending East Kilbride.
Star have suffered two defeats in their opening games but manager Ritchie Maxwell said: “They’re a decent side and have brought in league players so it will be another difficult test for us. There’s no easy games in this league.”
