HOLT HAPPY TO BE BAD GUY
GARY HOLT knows too many people who have caught Covid-19 to think Livingston are going to survive the season untouched by the virus.
But the Lions boss is adamant they did the right thing in refusing to delay today’s clash with Kilmarnock.
He stands by the call, even if it leaves him looking like a villain in some people’s eyes – and means Livi end up getting knocked back in their own hour of need.
He said: “We’ve got a duty of care to my players and staff. Yes, in an ideal world, it would have been great to say, ‘Aye, we can push things back’ but it has a knock-on effect. We had international boys away who we’ve not seen for two weeks and we’ve got a big game against Rangers next weekend, and then a tough run.
“We could maybe have said, ‘yes’ to this and down the line somebody says, ‘no’ to us. We’ve just got to get on with it as best we can.”
