I knew Nisbet had Coll the tools for top tier
COLL DONALDSON insists he already knew Kevin Nisbet was Premiership class – and isn’t surprised to see him start proving it at Hibs.
The ex-Caley defender had to face the Easter Road summer signing in the Championship last season as he tucked away 23 goals for Dunfermline.
Already at Easter Road, 23- year- old Nisbet has struck six goals in eight top-flight games, while also hitting the target once in the League Cup.
Donaldson, who left for Ross County in January, is an admirer but aims to keep the Hibees buzz-bomb quiet in today’s Global Energy Stadium confrontation.
The big defender said: “It’s no surprise at all that Kevin is doing so well this season.
“In the Championship last year, he stood out along with Lawrence Shankland as two Premiership players playing in that league.
“He’s done exceptionally well since going to Hibs and he’s their main man now.
“Going to Hibs has taken his game to the next level and I don’t think it will be the same Kevin Nisbet I played against last year.
“He’s got a lot of strengths as a striker. So he’s a striker you really need to watch or he will punish you.”
