Miller goes on to be a Wanderer down in Oz

- BY ALAN MARSHALL

FORMER Scotland striker Kenny Miller has moved clubs in Australia after just eight months to become No.2 at Western Sydney Wanderers.

The former Old Firm star – who had three spells at Rangers and one at Celtic – moved Down Under in February to become assistant manager to Carl Robinson at Newcastle Jets.

Miller retired earlier this year at the age of 40 after a spell with Partick Thistle – he netted 18 goals for Scotland in 69 caps to move to Australia and coach with Robinson.

Now the management duo have been poached to switch to Sydney and Robinson said: “I’m joining the biggest club in Australia and when you get that chance and that comes calling, you don’t say no.”

Miller was one of the very few players who could claim to have scored a goal in four different decades.

The ex- Hibs star eventually played 301 times for Rangers and scored 116 goals.
