NO NEW DEATHS IN SCOTLAND

THE latest Covid figures released by the Scottish Government show there were no deaths recorded overnight in Scotland and 316 new cases.

However, a delay in test results has created a false picture and the Government is warning there could be a spike in case numbers as testing catches up today and tomorrow.

The confirmed positive cases make up 11.2 per cent of the tests carried out overnight.

A total of 703 people are being treated in hospital for Coronavirus in Scotland, with 62 in intensive care.
