Unite for jobs
TODAY’S report by the Alliance for Full Employment is another wake-up call for Governments across the UK.
It warns that youth unemployment could hit one million across the UK and total 100,000 in Scotland.
The report acknowledges that the UK and Scottish Governments have initiatives in place which are designed to help young people.
However, the AfE, formed by Gordon Brown, is also correct to warn that both Governments need to co-operate more.
Profound policy differences separate Boris Johnson and Nicola Sturgeon, but they should work together to tackle this scourge.
Failure to do so will result in a nightmare winter for tens of thousands of young people who simply want to work.
