The governments’ response

THE Scottish Government said: “The £60million Youth Guarantee sets out our ambition that within two years, every 16 to 24-year-old will be in paid employment, education, on an apprenticeship or training programme, or engaged on a formal volunteering or supported activity programme.”

The UK Government said: “We’ve backed young people to find good jobs through the Kickstart scheme, invested in increasing apprenticeships, traineeships and work coaches, and the Job Entry Targeted Support programme.”
