Kris crosses the pain barrier for half-marathon PB
KRIS JONES admitted he’d been forced to push through the pain barrier to grab 60th place at the world half- marathon championships in Gdynia.
The Dundee Hawkhill Harrier clocked 63 minutes and five seconds to finish two spots ahead of Borderer Adam Craig as
GB&NI came 10th in the team standings.
The duo were less than five minutes behind Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo, who took gold in a championship record of 58:49.
Jones said: “I went out hard and hurt a lot. But I worked through it and I’m really happy to come away with a personal best.
“No matter what the time, a PB is a PB.”
