DEE ROUT’S START OF KINGS REIGN

-

STEPHEN KINGSLEY has warned the rest of the Championship Hearts still have plenty of room for improvement despite dumping Dundee 6-2.

Robbie Neilson’s side laid an early marker in their first league game on Friday against a side expected to be their main rivals for the title.

Former Falkirk, Swansea City and Hull left-back Kingsley was a standout after scoring two stunning goals at Tynecastle.

But with the Dark Blues having caused the Gorgie outfit problems at the start of the second half when Danny Mullen netted for the visitors to make it 4-2, Kingsley is adamant there are areas to work on.

He said: “There are things we can improve on, even though the scoreline is good for us.

“We could’ve managed the game a bit better in the second half, deal with that pressure going forward, but it is definitely a good marker and something to build on.

“I had practised freekicks in training and it was amazing to see it going into the back of the net.”
