Ibrox will be a Holt different ball game

-

JASON HOLT admits Livingston face a huge challenge in their bid to beat Rangers on Sunday.

Steven Gerrard’s side will have an extra spring in their step following the weekend’s convincing 2-0 victory over Celtic.

The Lions held the Ibrox outfit to a goalless draw in West Lothian in August but former Gers playmaker Holt insists Govan will be a whole different ball game.

He said: “Their confidence will be sky high and we know it will be an extremely difficult game.

“It will be similar to Celtic – if we go there with a game plan and try to implement our style on the park then hopefully we can cause them problems.

“It’s an altogether different task at Ibrox. I don’t think having no fans there makes a difference. Rangers have a strong squad and a fantastic team.”

Livingston’s four-game winning run came to a halt with Saturday’s setback.

Holt, who watched teammate Scott Pittman fire them in front after only 11 minutes, added: “It’s massively disappointing. “We were on the back of a good wee run where we had built up a bit of momentum. This hurts. As soon as we took the lead we seemed to stop doing what got us results in previous weeks. Going 2-1 behind at the break was difficult.

“We knew if we could come out of the traps we’d get back into the game. But the third goal made it hard and they made it difficult to break them down.”
