HOW THEY RATED
ZANDER CLARK
First keeper to be seriously tested and he was equal to Mullin’s effort with a great save to push the ball round the post. Quiet day after that.
SHAUN ROONEY
Popped up with vital opener the game desperately needed, showing strength to hold off Guthrie and bullet home brilliant header. And great effort saved on half-time.
JASON KERR
Solid at back and earned his place in St Johnstone history as only second captain to lead them to a major trophy and first to skipper the Perth club to the League Cup.
JAMIE McCART
Followed in his dad’s footsteps by lifting silverware at Hampden. Close to finding back of net when he got on end of Wotherspoon corner but header was blocked by Ambrose.
LIAM GORDON
Part of a solid Saints defence but the centre-back did pick up late booking when Livingston substitute Forrest got the better of him.
7 Produced excellent defending to get a block on Mullin’s shot after a well-worked Livingston counter-attack late on in the first half.
CALLUM BOOTH ALI McCANN
Northern Ireland international set up Wotherspoon for early second-half chance and youngster had late opportunity to kill the game but he shot well over.
LIAM CRAIG
So unlucky with timing , leaving Saints a year before they won Scottish Cup to join Hibs and returned to Perth before cup went to Easter Road. Finally got his hands on silverware.

CRAIG CONWAY
Delivered corner into danger area for Rooney to head home and lovely reverse pass started move for Wotherspoon chance in second half. Subbed in latter stages.
7 So close to grabbing a second for Saints at start of the second half but denied by point-blank McCrorie save. Lucky not to be booked for dive in bid to win penalty.
DAVID WOTHERSPOON CHRIS KANE
Agonisingly close to the rebound after Wotherspoon’s effort was saved early in second half but ball just came to him too quickly. Booked.
