LEONE LOOKS NAKA’D

-

GLASGOW boss Danny Wilson has ordered Leone Nakarawa to get his act together.

The Fijian superstar has struggled to get into shape after a long lay-off for Covid and a knee injury.

But the 32-year-old was way off the pace in Sunday’s loss to Leinster and faces being no more than a fringe player at Warriors before joining Ulster next season unless he ups his game.

Wilson said: “If I’m being brutally honest, he’s got a lot of work to do, hasn’t he? He’s fit to play but we probably need to get him match fit. Leone’s leaving and therefore we do need to make sure that we’ve got the right players getting development.”

Warriors are still waiting to find out how long Adam Hastings will be banned for after his red card on Sunday but as he prepares for Saturday’s clash with Zebre, Wilson says Ross Thompson or Ian Keatley can step up.

He added: “To have Ross and Keats is great. Keats has been great to help Ross develop.”
