PRIDE of Scotland host Kirsty Gallacher has admitted she’s “completely ready” for a baby with her new partner. And the sports pundit, who has sons Oscar, 14 and Jude 11 with ex-husband Paul Sampson, has questioned anyone raising eyebrows at her having a child at her age – 45.

The Edinburgh-born presenter said: “I wouldn’t put anything past having another child…I’d obviously want to do it sooner rather than later but I toy with it right now.

“I’m in a new relationship and I feel like saying if someone’s got a problem (with her having another child at 45), why is that? Why am I too old? What is the problem if I’m fit, healthy, able, and we want to do that?”

It’s been six years since she split from her rugby player husband and since then she’s been linked with Jack Whitehall, Laurence Fox and last year Danny Cipriani but is keeping the new relationship under wraps for now.

It comes after she admitted her “devastating” break-up with Paul was so hard it left her with PTSD.

Shortly before her divorce, her Scots golfing legend father Bernard suffered a near-death experience and was brought back to life three times after suffering cardiac arrest.

With her dad on the mend and Kirsty hitting the gym, she’s managed to get out of the post-divorce hole she was in and seems ready to start a new family.

Kirsty said: “I’d love another child; I feel completely ready for it. I feel healthier than ever, fitter than ever, I think my mind’s better than it’s ever been.

“I think sometimes when you have rough patches in life…as long as you learn, come through it, and get yourself back in a strong place again, I think you feel rather good. You feel like, ‘Yeah, I can deal with life now’, I’m glad I’ve been through all that and out the other end. It’s great, I’m loving my life now.”

Her former whirlwind life also made her quit Sky Sports News in 2018. She had joined in 1998 and was the face of the channel on and off for 20 years.

Kirsty said: “Fitness has been my main thing, looking after myself the last few years, making some bold decisions.

“A big decision was to leave Sky Sports, where I’d been comfortable for so long, I just thought, ‘I want to do different things’, and it was hard to leave there.

“I was like a whirlwind, I was working full-time, going through a divorce, doing
