Snogging ban for Damian at Helen funeral
HELEN McCrory’s grieving husband Damian Lewis has revealed that before she died the actress told him to find love again.
In a moving tribute to his wife of 14 years, Damian said her “most exquisite act of bravery and generosity” had been her ability to “normalise” her death for her family. That included joking to him, their son Gulliver, 13, and daughter Manon, 14, about his love life.
Homeland actor Damian, 50, said: “She said to us, ‘I want Daddy to have girlfriends, lots of them. You must all love again. Love isn’t possessive. But Damian, try at least to get through the funeral without snogging someone.’”
Peaky Blinders star Helen, 52, who had a Scots dad, Iain, died on Friday after a battle with cancer.
