Ross on run for 36 hours to aid charity
A SCOT who had heart surgery three years ago is planning to run non-stop for at least 36 hours to raise funds to support others with long-term conditions.
Ross Grieve, 53, will cover the same distance as running from Peebles to Aberdeen despite having been diagnosed with a heart condition in 2017. Surgery was carried out in 2018.
He is raising funds for
Edinburgh-based charity Thistle, where he works, by taking part in Scotland’s virtual Kiltwalk and aims to run a four-mile loop in Glentress Forest from 3pm on Friday until Sunday – covering 140 miles.
Ross said: “I’m going to try to use the skills I’ve learned from the people I support to help get me through this weekend.”
