BEAT THE CHASERS

BACK for a third series of nailbiting “shout at the telly” action, this quiz is on every night this week.
Expect plenty of wisecracks from host Bradley Walsh and hammed-up drama from Chasers Anne “The Governess” Hegerty, Mark “The Beast” Labbett, Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan, Shaun “The Dark Destroyer” Wallace and newcomer Darragh “The Menace” Ennis.
Their strategy? “To beat the contestants and win,” clarifies Shaun.
Contestants answer “cashbuilder” questions but will go home if they get the first one wrong.
Get past that stage and they answer general knowledge questions against the clock, taking on two, three, four or all five Chasers for big-money prizes.
Some of the contestants are self-confessed quizzers, while others seem to have walked in off the street with no idea.
Either way, it makes for addictive telly. And there’s always one who utters those immortal words: “I think I can take on all five Chasers.”
