Bairns eye Grant for gaffer job

PETER GRANT could be set for a quickfire return to management at Falkirk.

Grant left Alloa on Friday after they defeated Dunfermline in their final game of the season.

He has emerged as the favourite to take over at Falkirk after the Bairns’ winless run was extended to five games with a 2-1 loss at home to Montrose.

The Bairns axed co-bosses Lee Miller and David McCracken last month and have Sporting Director Gary Holt in temporary charge.

Despite Alloa’s relegation to League One, Grant’s side won plaudits for their style of play.
