Kai and Timo are on Mend

-

EDOUARD MENDY believes Chelsea will see the best of German strike duo Kai Havertz and Timo Werner next season.

It has taken Havertz, signed for £71million last summer, a while to settle in English football.

Covid-19 and injuries hampered him but he dumped Fulham with a double on Saturday.

Werner struggled again yet keeper Mendy has backed both his buddies.

The Chelsea keeper said: “Kai and Timo are really

good players but they are young and they have moved to another country.

“They needed a couple of months to adjust and understand the Premier League but I see them every day and know how good they are. They showed their qualities here.

“Next year we will see the best of Timo and Kai. They are important for us and a game like this was really good for their confidence.”
