Anger over latest North Korea missile
NORTH Korea has tested a new long-range cruise missile capable of hitting Japan, it emerged yesterday.
The weekend tests saw missiles travelling up to 930 miles, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
South Korea said its military was analysing the launches with the US.
US military Indo Pacific command said: “This highlights North Korea’s continuing focus on developing its military program and the threats it poses to its neighbours and the international community.”
Last month, the UN atomic agency said North Korea – whose leader is despot Kim Jong-un – appeared to have restarted a reactor which could produce plutonium for nuclear weapons.
