IT might be more about tackling yourself and asking if you really want to be with someone who can’t say that to you. You’re right, you can’t force someone to say it, but some people find it really hard to say – they’re emotionally constipated because of the type of upbringing they’ve had.

But it can make you question the relationship – I’ve been in that situation myself. And, being a very tactile and affectionate person, I need to know I’m wanted – not every minute of the day, but now and again.

Have the conversation and explain that it makes you question how committed he is and if he does actually love you.

He might say he does love you, but it’s just not in his nature to say it all the time. Maybe you just need some reassurance.
