WHY WON’T MY BOYFRIEND TELL ME HE LOVES ME?

I’VE been with my boyfriend for a few years and he’s never said, “I love you”, even though I’ve said it to him several times.

It didn’t used to bother me – I know he’s not the slushy type and he shows me affection in other ways – however, recently, it’s really started to make me resent him.

I know I can’t make him say it and, if he doesn’t say it voluntarily, then there’s no point because he wouldn’t mean it, but I don’t want to spend my life with someone who’s never said it! It makes me question the whole relationship. How should I tackle this with him?
