Sibbald in sweat to face Celts after ankle knock

-

LIVINGSTON have major doubts over the fitness of Craig Sibbald for Sunday’s clash with Celtic after the centurion needed nine stitches in an ankle injury.

The midfielder made his 100th appearance for the Lions against Dundee on Saturday.

But the 26-year-old left the pitch on a stretcher after just 25 minutes following a challenge from Shaun Byrne. Sibbald went to hospital for treatment and it’s feared Celtic’s visit may come too soon.

Meanwhile, boss David Martindale is convinced his side are on track after the draw earned Livi their first point of the season.

He said: “15 players left and about 15 came in. We’ll get there.”
