We will just keep going to the Well

- BY MICHAEL BAILLIE

MOTHERWELL manager Graham Alexander insists no one at Fir Park will be patting themselves on the back after three straight league wins.

Alexander claims there will be no let-up as they strive to make further progress.

Motherwell climbed to fourth in the Premiership after their 2-0 win over Aberdeen and have picked up 10 points from their last four games.

But Alexander’s focus is already on Sunday’s clash with Rangers. He said: “We don’t really go back, we take the positives when we analyse it but we always look to the next game and we’d rather work on the training pitch on what we have to do.

“We’re not going to be walking around, patting ourselves on the back this week by any stretch, it’s not the way we want to be.

“We have to keep a balance because we know it’s not always going to go our way, so we have to be balanced when it doesn’t.

“So we can’t go the other way when we win.

“But the feel-good factor, the confidence the players are getting from working with each other every day is improving and we know we’ve got another tough challenge next week, as we will have every game this season.

“Our training sessions are always intense because you have to play with an intensity, the players are capable of it.

“We’re still short of where we need to be but it will come with time.”
