Ross jumps to defence of a ‘terrific’ Porteous
HIBS boss Jack Ross insists Ryan Porteous has been harshly criticised for his performances.
The 22-year-old helped claim a point in Sunday’s clash at Tynecastle with a rock solid 90 minutes.
Ross feels the youngster deserves to be cut some slack by fans and pundits and said: “I do think at times he has been harshly treated within this county over some things.
“But for the number of games he has played as a young man and as a player, he is terrific.
“And I think the mature performance he produced on Sunday was another sign of that – not blemish free but really, really good.”
