BARRON CAN LORD IT
ON A SESSION (4:10) looks very solid for David Barron in the Bass Rock Handicap at Musselburgh.
The five-year-old was chinned by Current Option in a typically warm Galway Festival handicap.
That was a clear career best so this pacey type can go one better in slightly calmer waters.
LORD OF THE GLEN (1:20) can shade a trappy sprint for Uplawmoor trainer Jim Goldie.
The six-year-old put in another excellent shift when cosily accounting for Fossos at Newcastle.
The gelding remains in form so he can take full advantage of an attractive Turf mark.
KATS BOB (2:25) can extend Iain Jardine’s winning run in the tricky McGarrity Handicap.
The three-year-old relished returning to seven furlongs when outbattling Aquamas at
Ayr. The gelding looks open to plenty of progress so he can make light of a 2lb penalty.
The Racing TV Handicap is even tighter but I’m backing Tim Easterby’s ALBEGONE (3:35). The speedster was just denied a hat-trick by the cleverly-ridden High Security at Redcar.
The gelding looks welltreated so he can score at a venue where he has excelled in the past.
REINA DEL MAR (2:05) can take command for handler Ed Walker at Yarmouth.
The filly ran another stormer when third to Chalk Stream in a red-hot York handicap in July. There is plenty more to come from this strong-traveller who can triumph dropped in class.
BERYL BURTON (2:40) can put her best foot forward for shrewd trainer John Berry.
The filly is nicely unexposed over 1m 2f after beating Wow William at Ffos Las.
MOHI (2:50) looks yet another fast-improving sprint prospect for Clive Cox at Wolverhampton.
The two-year-old was on the up again when outpointing El Hadeeyah over course and distance.
James Tate is hitting form at the moment so I’m on TWILIGHT SECRET (3:25) in the Sky Sports Handicap.
The colt stayed on the rise when decisively defeating Show Me A Sunset at this same venue.
