The Yorkshire handler can also bag the tricky MansionBet Handicap with COSMOS RAJ (7.30). The in-form gelding was unlucky to encounter the upwardly mobile Third Kingdom at York but can gain compensation back on the all-weather.
Phillip Makin is hitting form so I’m on CAPTAIN VALLO (8.30) in the apprentices’ handicap. The sprinter built on some respectable efforts when second to Kapono over track and trip and is unexposed on the all-weather so can go one better for his shrewd handler.
ABLE KANE (3.50) can boost Oisin Murphy’s title bid in the Racing TV Handicap at Leicester.
Brian Millman’s horse was a fine fourth to the classy Sunray Major in warm company at Ascot. The gelding still lurks on a workable mark so he can resume winning ways in these calmer waters.
Dai Jeffreys’ GETAMAN (2.13) is well worth punting in a trappy handicap hurdle at Hereford. The eight-year-old left some tepid efforts behind when second to the progressive Strong Team at Kelso, staying on strongly that day, so can score over this extra three furlongs.
Milton Harris is flying so I’m backing PRESENTING YEATS (3.23) in the threemiler. The hurdler put in his best shift yet when comfortably dismissing Not At Present at Warwick and was value for more than the length verdict that day so can defy a lenient 3lb hike.
The handler can also take the handicap chase at Huntingdon with ACHY BREAKY HEART (4.15) with a repeat of his excellent second to Railway Muice over track and trip.
Sarah Humphrey’s RAILWAY MUICE (4.50) should get his head in front in the closing handicap hurdle as he sits on an attractive timber mark after a decisive success over fences.
