THE MONDAY JURY
Do you fancy Celtic to beat Ferencvaros?
1
Yes. Ange Postecoglou is getting there slowly but surely with this side. A big win over the Hungarians could be a trigger point for the season ahead for Celts.
2
The champions have been flaky since the start of the campaign but showed signs they are getting back to their best on Saturday despite the result against Hearts. This tie might have come at exactly the right time. A big win is required.
3
It certainly looks like it. United’s win at Easter Road was probably the result of the weekend. In fact, they are fast becoming the story of the season.
4
That depends on the patience of Dave Cormack but it’s becoming difficult to make a case for him. He’s been given a fortune compared to his predecessor but is coming up miles short of the standards set by Derek McInnes.
Tomorrow will certainly be their best hope of getting back into the race for the knockout stages. The Hungarians are no great shakes and Saturday’s win at Fir Park should give the Hoops confidence.
A comfortable win. Steven Gerrard’s side continue to stutter but the Danes have been hopeless this season. If they don’t get the points, Gers can say goodbye to hopes of reaching the last 32.
He’s certainly making a good fist of it. Few thought this was the right move when United promoted him in the summer but fair play, Courts is proving his doubters wrong.
Not much longer. He’s had plenty of time to get his ideas across, having been appointed last season, but there’s no sign of improvement. The clock is ticking fast.
Celtic have the weapons to hurt the opposition and, as usual for them in Europe, it will come down to how they defend. Do it properly and they can win.
How will Rangers fare against Brondby on Thursday?
Rangers have a great opportunity to get some points on the board in the section and it’s not one they can afford to pass up against the Danes. They should win.
Can Tam Courts keep Dundee United in the top six?
United are doing superbly but it’s a long season. There will be peaks and troughs. Top six might be a bit ambitious but right now, they are flying and deserve massive praise.
The Aberdeen hierarchy made the appointment and should have the backbone to stand behind Glass. But most suits hit the ejector button pretty quickly these days and results have to change for Glass.
Yes, I do. They’ve got a little bit of wind in their sails now. They can do enough to get past the Hungarians and hopefully repeat the feat in their following Europa League tie as well.
They’ve got to win and I expect them to do so, particularly if they stop panicking in front of goal. Some of their build-up play was superb on Saturday and more of the same should be enough against the Danes.
There’s no reason why not. He’s got them so well drilled defensively and now they are beginning to make as well as take chances. It’s a potent combination.
How long does Stephen Glass have to turn things around at Aberdeen?
Not long. They can’t keep losing matches. This appointment was Cormack’s and is he big enough to admit he got it wrong? He won’t want to but another couple of defeats might mean he will have to.
