MY MATE TOM IS REAL VISION OF LOVELINESS

-

JOTA reckons Tom Rogic has special X-ray vision.

The in-form winger bagged his third goal for Celtic since signing on loan from Benfica in the weekend 2-0 win at Motherwell.

Jota’s clinical finish came after a sublime through pass from Rogic carved open the Well backline.

The Aussie also produced an incisive through ball to Adam Montgomery in Celtic’s previous game, which allowed the Portuguese to fire the winner at Aberdeen.

Jota has been left spellbound by his team-mate’s wizardry and said: “For sure he is someone who can see things others cannot see.

“That pass just shows his quality and what he brings to the team.

“We are just getting to know each other very well. This pass and this play was a demonstration of that.” While Rogic has been a long-term servant to Celtic, Jota is among the new recruits still finding their feet after his switch from Lisbon.

The 22-year-old attacker is making big strides in Glasgow with an instant impact.

He said: “I am trying to take my opportunities, be humble and learn as much as I can with the lads, with the coach and with everyone. And

I’m just be happy out there on the pitch.”

Jota now wants to transfer his form on to the continental stage when his team tackle Hungarians Ferencvaros in tomorrow’s vital Europa League clash.

Ange Postecoglou’s troops must win to keep alive their hopes of progression to the knockout stages and Jota says the squad can take heart from their Fir Park success.

He told Celtic TV: “It was another good victory for us. We were looking to start this new chapter after the international break very well and we did it with a strong win.

“Now we are just looking forward to the next games.

“It’s a big stage and something that we really get some important points from.

“We are focused on that and will be ready for the game.”
