STEPHEN GLASS is bang in the Hotline firing line as Aberdeen’s season continues to unravel.

The Dons boss is in the midst of a crisis. His team are 10 games without a win. Defeat to Dundee was a fifth straight Premiership loss, having already been knocked out of Europe and the Premier Sports Cup by Championship club Raith.

Glass is under severe strain and Andrew Lamb, Fraserburgh, said: “The next six games will surely make or break Glass’ future as Dons boss. As it stands now, they are in danger of being relegated.”

Iain Alan, Linlithgow, said: “The whole of 2021 has been a shambles, a miserable finish to last season and a pathetic start to this season.

“We are going to be scrapping at the bottom of the table at this rate and we have still to face Rangers and Hibs. Is Neil Lennon available?”

Arthur McDougall, Aberdeen, said: “I’m not one for just sacking new managers but it’s not working, we can all see it.

“Time for Dave Cormack to accept he got it wrong and fix this before it somehow gets even worse.”

Rangers dropped points to Hearts. Surprisingly, not a single Jambo got it touch after the 1-1 draw but Ibrox punters offered support to boss Steven Gerrard.

Robert Livingstone said: “Critics of Gerrard with the words Mickey Mouse league and tainted title should wake up to themselves. The side came from the depths of the fourth tier. What Gerrard did last season was a remarkable achievement and, against all odds, he did it in style with quality football.”

But David Smith wasn’t impressed with the manager’s decisions in the game and said: “How on earth was Alfredo Morelos not substituted?”

Hibs were hammered at home by high-flying Dundee United. Again, no Arabs got in touch but plenty of Hibees. John Scott, Grassmoor, summed up their general mood as he said: “Never let you down, do they? Decade after decade, the potential to build and push on. In reality, they kill you inside.

“There will be thousands of Hibs fans angered at a 3-0 loss at home to Dundee United.

“However, there will be tens of thousands more like myself who will not be in the least bit surprised. It’s what they do – get us excited then ultimately rip our guts out. Boy band right enough.”

Motherwell supporter John Devlin was angry at his team’s failure to get a penalty against Celtic for Boli Bolingoli’s blatant handball.

He said: “As a fan of long standing, I’m fed up with not getting big decisions against Celtic. I have a list as long as my arm of honest mistakes made by referees when we play the big clubs. It was a clear handball on Saturday and I left Fir Park feeling cheated. Again.”

Celtic fans were the only ones smiling after their win and David Bryce, Troon, said: “Solid rather than spectacular. My only gripe is that our crossing is woeful and needs to be addressed.

“Also the new Greek striker looks cumbersome and lacking finesse. We should buy Jota and CameronCarter Vickers because they are different class.”

William Hutchison, Aberdeen, was happy at the gap between Celtic and Rangers at the top being cut down to four points. He said: “What was that Hotliner saying the other day about Rangers are six points clear and the gap is going to get wider?

“Yes, Rangers are still top, fair enough. But it’s down to four points now and we are starting to win our away games. You can run but you can’t hide.”
