F1 Merc team end link with Grenfell firm

FORMULA ONE team Mercedes has ditched a tie-up deal with Grenfell insulation firm Kingspan after just one race.

The team’s cars sported the building supplies firm’s logo during last Sunday’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

But Grenfell United – the bereaved and survivors’ group – pointed out Kingspan’s links to the 2017 fire that killed 72 people.

The Irish firm supplied one of the products used in the tower block.
