£500 fine for abusive Rangers title fan
AN ENGINEER who repeatedly charged at police and kicked their shields during Rangers’ title celebrations has been fined £500.
Gordon Allison, 47, lashed out at officers in Glasgow’s George Square on May 15. The father of two handed himself in following a CCTV review of supporters.
Allison, a director of his father’s company who lives in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, later blamed a “cocktail” of medication and alcohol for his behaviour.
He pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm.
