Novak on Oz list but entry still in doubt
NOVAK DJOKOVIC has been included on the entry list for next month’s Australian Open despite continuing doubts over his vaccination status.
The world No.1 has said he is yet to make a call on his participation in the Grand Slam, for which all players are required to be vaccinated.
Djokovic could apply for a special exemption but would be required to undertake 14 days of quarantine as a result.
The nine-time winner has said people should have the “freedom to choose”, refusing to reveal his vaccination status.
Last month tournament director Craig Tiley said: “We’d love to have Novak here but he knows he must be vaccinated.”
