Giuffre wants Andrew ‘broke & destroyed’
PRINCE Andrew’s rape accuser has vowed to “destroy him” and leave him penniless, a source claims.
The Duke of York is fighting a civil lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre, who claims the royal’s paedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein lent her out to him three times for sex. The Prince “absolutely and categorically” denies her allegations.
The source said: “It is Virginia’s firm belief that Andrew should go to jail for what he’s done but in the end leaving him broke and destroyed may be enough.
“Now it’s a matter of how much money he offers [in a settlement] and how broke we leave him.”
It was reported on Saturday that Andrew fears £2million legal bills and a £10million payout to Guiffre.
A royal source said that while the Queen consulted with other top royals on whether to strip Andrew, 61, of his patronages and military titles, the final decision was hers.
The Duke’s legal team plan to argue in court that Giuffre, 38, suffers from false memories.
They said: “Her claims regarding her time with Epstein and the circumstances under which [Andrew] allegedly assaulted her have repeatedly changed.”
Lawyers also plan an attack on an extension to New York’s Child Victims Act, which Giuffre is using to sue Andrew. It raised to 55 the age up to which people could sue their alleged attackers.
A deadline for claims of August 14, 2021, was extended by then-New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Andrew’s lawyers yesterday questioned whether the extension was constitutional, and whether Cuomo had the power to order
