IT’S fair to say Katie Price’s life has had its ups and downs, with surgeries, drug use, bankruptcy, driving charges and a recent arrest for allegedly breaching a restraining order. And we’ve watched it all play out.
Along the way, via three husbands and five children, there have been many (many, many) reality shows, and this is the latest. Katie’s 19-room mansion in Horsham, Sussex, is full of bad memories for the 43-year-old TV personality.
Dubbed the Mucky Mansion in headlines, the 10-acre property has been the target of vandals and has now fallen into disrepair to the point that it’s uninhabitable.
This three-part series follows Katie and her family over seven months as they renovate it and try to make it a happy home. Expect plenty of chaos, as is usual from the big, busy family, as Katie designs perfect bedrooms for her children, oversees a kitchen makeover and replaces everything from walls and windows to the chimney pots.
She will also turn her hand to crafting, decorating and a spot of upcycling.
Katie has previously given fans a glimpse of her home on her YouTube channel, revealing everything from a swamp-like swimming pool to rooms filled with piles of clothes and bags. But teaser clips reveal a whole new look is on the way.
The mum also opens up about her mental health struggles, talking openly about hitting rock bottom and accepting the need for help.
She says: “This house damaged my head, damaged me. I’ve had a journey from hell.
“I could not even walk through the front door, it would give me anxiety like you wouldn’t believe.”
