Euro results are familiar story for Old Firm rivals

IT was a contrastin­g night and not only given the competitio­ns the Old Firm were contesting.

While Rangers revelled in the Europa League, Celtic lost in the Conference League.

And that has been a familiar story in the knockout stages for almost two decades now.

Celtic have won just one leg out of 17 played in the last 18 years since they eliminated Barcelona from the UEFA Cup.

Rangers’ victory was their eighth knockout leg win in the same period. Here is the record since Celts eliminated Barca.
