Jeremy ticks all the boxes and not too many red flags.. I know red flags, I used to chase them
Kelly found ‘The One’ in Jeremy
loving and sweet. He came into our lives when we needed him.” Kelly, who suffered several miscarriages, including one in 2011 at six months, credits daily walks with Teddy for boosting her mental health.
She said: “He has been the most incredible addition to our family.”
He has been a little more successful than their previous pets, a hive of honeybees. Kelly said: “They kept getting stuck in my hair.”
Much has been made of Kelly’s transition into the new Charlie Dimmock after a gardening segment she did on This Morning.
But having come fifth in ITV’s The Masked Dancer last year as Frog, Kelly has not hung up her party heels just yet. She said of her past: “I enjoyed enjoying myself.
“And I continue to enjoy myself. Jeremy and I don’t have a boring life. We’re always travelling, always busy. So it’s not about settling down. I’m certainly not settled. “I’m just happy. I’ve found someone who can keep up with me and the lifestyle I love. It’s the combination of having a very exciting life but also where it’s nice to stay home and walk the dog. It’s getting that balance.” Born Kelly Ann Parsons in Rochester, Kent, in 1979, her mum Sandra was a cook and her late dad Tony a scaffolder. Kelly joined the Italia Conti stage school in London aged 13, thanks to a scholarship. By 1996, aged 16, she had nine GCSEs and her first modelling job. Almost by accident, or rather at the suggestion of an opportunist photographer, she ended up on the Page 3 modelling route with Katie Price. But having picked a stage name inspired by 80s film star Kelly LeBrock, Kelly Brook soon became known for her business savvy and her modelling for Renault, Bravissimo and Lynx.
She became a role model, a woman with curves at a time when fashion was obsessed with the waif look.
Kelly said: “There’s so much diversity now, which is fantastic. But I was one of the first to be curvy and have boobs. I’m pleased girls could see themselves in me and realise didn’t have to be a certain size and shape.” At 19, Kelly landed
the job of hosting The Big Breakfast with Johnny Vaughan. Two decades on, they both work for Global Radio. She said: “We leave at the same time so we’re always squabbling for a car outside. He’s so much fun.”
Soon Hollywood came calling, with roles in The Italian Job remake, House of 9, and Three with Billy Zane.
She was handpicked by Ellen DeGeneres for her 2015 US sitcom One Big Happy. It was cancelled after one series but Kelly was “homesick” anyway. She now loves her Heart London Drivetime radio show.
She said: “I love acting but it’s quite a selfish life. I don’t want to be dragging Jeremy all over, sitting in a trailer for 16 hours while you’re working. I’ve been there, done that. It’s very boring.”
There have been whispers about an engagement, fuelled by Kelly occasionally wearing a flashy diamond on her ring finger. Asked about marriage, she said: “We’re open to it. One day.
“If all the stars align. People can speculate but until then you just have to just assume nothing’s going on.”
