Prisoner dies behind bars

A PRISONER has died at HMP Edinburgh weeks after being put behind bars.

Connor Morrison died while serving a sentence at the Saughton prison on Wednesday, April 20.

The 24-year-old was jailed at Livingston Sheriff Court after being convicted of threatening and abusive behaviour, assault and breach of bail on Tuesday, March 22.

He was sentenced to 161 days in jail.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.
