Equal pay shame

REGARDING yesterday’s article on the long-standing delay in settling Glasgow City Council’s equal pay scandal, sadly this was normal practice when I started work in one of the major banks in the 1960’s.

In the grading column the staff manual clearly listed two rates of pay for male and female staff in the same grade, with a very significant difference in favour of the males (obviously). S.McDonald,
