Ralf: Go earn a bit of pride

- MAN UTD v CHELSEA

RALF RANGNICK has urged Manchester United’s underperforming stars to justify their huge wages by ending the season on a high.

Interim boss Rangnick has conceded United, currently sixth, have no chance of securing a Champions League place after picking up four points from a possible 15.

That has left them six points adrift of fourthplaced Arsenal – who have a game in hand – with four matches left, starting tonight against Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Despite United looking set to miss out on the top four, Rangnick said the players owe it to the fans to finish the season strongly and show why they are paid millions of pounds.

“Obviously, if results aren’t going well and we’ve lost three of the last four games, the morale in the locker room isn’t as good as it would be,”said Rangnick.

“But we still have to perform. This is what we’re getting paid for and it’s important for players, knowing there’s a new manager coming in, to show we’re able to beat a team like Chelsea.”
