OUR SEASON ISN’T AT HOLT

- BY ALAN MARSHALL

JASON HOLT has insisted Livingston are homing in on a new goal now the top six is out of reach – their best points tally since being back in the top flight.

The Lions reached 41 points with four games left thanks to last Saturday’s 2-1 win away to Aberdeen.

Last season’s haul of 45 was the club’s finest in the league since the 2002 debut season in which they finished third.

Hibs are up on Saturday before games against St Johnstone, St Mirren and Dundee after going within seconds of a top-half finish.

And midfielder Holt, who opened his scoring account for the season at

Pittodrie, said: “You look at our points tally last year – we want to try to better that and we want to finish the best of the rest.

“We want to finish the season in a positive fashion and that will lead us into next season pretty well.

“It was a happy dressing room after the Aberdeen game. We were confident we could get a result and did well in large spells.

“It was a nervy five minutes at the end after losing the penalty.

“We were hurting after the Motherwell game and we want to try to finish the season in a positive way.”
