STILL LION IN WAIT FOR AL

- BY SCOTT BURNS

DUNDEE UNITED are still to decide if they will make a pre-contract offer to Alan Forrest.

Record Sport revealed last month Tam Courts’ side are interested in the Livingston winger.

They have made contact with Livi to register their interest but have not met the player or made an offer, who is a target for Hearts.

Courts said: “The one thing I can say, having left a recruitment meeting on Tuesday, is we haven’t made any formal pre-contract offers to any players.

“There will be players who are of interest and we will be speaking to agents and representatives. We are being proactive with our recruitment because we have a little bit more of a lead-in time.”

United have taken two points from a possible nine despite netting the first goal in all three games.

Ahead of Motherwell on Saturday, Courts said: “We are starting games very well and have proved we can get in front. It is certainly not an instruction from the coaching team for us to be passive or sit on a lead.

“We want to play with a fearlessness and go after the second and third goal.”
