REGAN KEEN TO JOIN PALS
REGAN CHARLES-COOK admits seeing old teammates Joe Aribo and Ademola Lookman star in European semi-finals has inspired him to fire Ross County into continental competition next season.
The star’s 13 goals this season have helped lift County into the battle for a Euro spot next season and also saw him shortlisted for the PFA Scotland Player of the Year Award.
The 25-year-old will watch his old Charlton youth pals Aribo and Lookman go for glory with Rangers and Leicester tonight and is desperate to join them in the future. He said: “It spurs me on to get to where those guys have got to. I want to get to the highest level and it gives me that spark. If they can do it, then so can I.
“Joe and I played in the same Under-23s team and it’s not surprised me where he has got to in his career and I’m very happy for him.”
Charles-Cook admits it’s been a dream season as he left the likes of Old Firm stars Alfredo Morelos and Kyogo Furuhashi trailing in the scoring charts – but he added: “It is not a finished dream until Ross County get into Europe.”
