Gers need a Leip of faith in tie

-

RANGERS have saved their best performances for Europe this season and they’re going to need another huge effort to survive in Leipzig tonight.

McBookie make Gers 11/4 outsiders to reach the Europa League Final while they are 17/2 to win tonight’s first leg at the Red Bull Arena.

RB Leipzig are just 1/3 for a victory on home soil and it’s hard to disagree with those odds as the Ibrox side are missing so many key players through injury.

The most admirable thing about Rangers’ run to the semis is they have done it by playing attacking football – this is no repeat of the Wattanaccio of 2008.

But they drew a blank in Braga without Alfredo Morelos and Leipzig are a step up in class so the home win to nil appeals at 6/5 (Paddy Power).

Christopher Nkunku is the Leipzig dangerman, having netted 30 times this season. He’s 25/19 at SBK to add to that tally.

West Ham also face German opposition in the other semi and should be too strong at home for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Oliver Glasner’s men have gone five without a win in the Bundesliga so a Hammers victory appeals at 20/21 with McBookie.

Super singles: Nkunku to score (25/19, SBK). West Ham win (20/21, McBookie).
