Heard only paid £280k to charity
AMBER Heard broke her pledge to donate the entirety of her £5.6million divorce settlement from Johnny Depp to charity, a court has heard.
The actress announced in 2016 that she would split the money evenly between the America Civil Liberties Union and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
But yesterday, during the warring couple’s explosive defamation case in Virginia, it was revealed she’d only paid one £280,000 directly.
It also emerged the ACLU’s communication team helped Heard draft a 2018 Washington Post op-ed – the article Depp, 58, is suing for defamation over.
The actress, 35, has filed a countersuit against him, accusing him of orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her.
