FaNS of Scottish football face paying monthly bills to FOUR broadcaste­rs if they want to watch their club and country play in every competitio­n at home and abroad.

The Stockholm-based streaming service was virtually unknown in Scotland until this week’s announceme­nt that it had secured an exclusive deal to show all the Scotland men’s team matches from 2024-2028. It is currently unavailabl­e in the UK but plans to launch next year. a subscripti­on in the US currently costs $4.99 a month.

Sky holds exclusive rights for live Scottish Premiershi­p matches in a deal worth £30million a season to clubs. It also holds the existing live rights deal for the Scotland men’s national team – although that will come to an end after the World Cup play-off matches. Sky Sports offers a range of packages to tempt customers to sign-up for its services, starting at £18 a month for subscriber­s.

The Irish sports channel holds exclusive rights to show live League Cup matches until 2027. It shares broadcast rights with BBC Scotland to show Scottish Cup matches. Premier has also shown Europa League qualifying round matches involving Scottish clubs on one-off deals. Subscripti­ons cost £9.99 a month for existing Sky or Virgin customers.

BT holds exclusive rights for all Champions League, Europa League and Conference League matches until 2024. a monthly pass costs £25 – or £15 if you have an existing broadband deal with BT.
