Campaign to rename Stalin street

CAMPAIGNERS want a street called Stalin Road to be renamed after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The street is one of three in Colchester, Essex, named to recognise the Allied nations’ WWII leaders.

Other names used are Roosevelt and Churchill.

The town’s former MP Sir Bob Russell said: “Stalin was a mass killer but the overwhelming verdict is they do not want to change the name of their road.”
