UK’s top for dear beer
A PINT in the UK is seven times more expensive than the cheapest in the world, a survey revealed.
The best value among 195 countries is in Burundi in Africa, where a beer is likely to cost around 59p.
But the average here is £4.07, with London coming in at £4.84, says the British Beer and Pub Association.
The cheapest places for lager or beer in the UK are Perth at £3.07 and Swansea on £3.26 – while Brighton is next dearest to London at £4.83.
