OK, as an “older lady”, I’d be very flattered if a younger guy found me attractive and it would undoubtedly be an ego boost. However, my eldest son is older than you and I’d just find it a bit weird to be honest, mostly because I think I’d struggle to find things we had in common.

Would I want to get drunk with his mates? No. Would I want to watch the same telly programmes? Probably not. You see where I’m going with this.

But look, that’s just me and maybe if she’s single and looking for a fun arrangement with no pressure or expectation, then she might be all in.

I think the problem might be if the relationship becomes serious when you’re both clearly at different stages of life, or if one of you is looking for more commitment than the other.

But we’re getting ahead of ourselves here. The only way to find out is to ask her if she fancies a coffee or a drink after work, get to know each other outside the office, and take it from there.

You always have to be mindful that if a relationship with a colleague doesn’t work out, you’ll still have to work with them!
