Medical emergency
I HAVE to agree with recent opinion on the shambolic state of NHS dental treatment.
It’s clear that privatisation by stealth has been taking place for decades virtually ignored by anyone in government.
The original NHS Charter means nothing now, and ordinary folk haven’t the means to pay the exhorbitant fees charged for basic dental care.
The system requires reform from top to bottom. We are throwing away years of hardwon improvement in dental healthcare and nobody seems interested in providing solutions.

I’VE tried to get an appointment for my GP but only get a call or told to dial 999 in an emergency. If you go to see a doctor you only get a nursing practitioner who then goes to speak to the doctor. The surgery is always empty. Ian, Knightswood, Glasgow
